They make Manuel from Fawlty Towers look competent

Well, we all now, or at least somewhat rational, sane people, all know, that the Cheney administration is a farcical sham embodied in incompetence, corruption, and cronyism, which characteristics reveal themselves at every action that the US federal government takes these days. But in accepting help to provide aid during Hurricane Katrina, all they had to do was say, "Please sir, can I have some more?". The Washington Post today details the amount of foreign aid offered to the United States in the wake of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and the inexplicable rejection of most of that money. Really, how on Earth, after seeing pictures like this or this, or this, or this could the Cheney administration refuse to accept any financial assistance to help the victims of this horrific tragedy? The mind boggles once again at the pride this time, and complete breakdown of the mechanisms of government under this crowd. What a disgrace. I mean......they didn't even have to DO anything....just say.....yes, please....can we have some more. What a sham, cabal, crony nest. Geez. And believe me, Manuel was very incompetent...
